Bio:
Grant Slinger is Senior Vice President - Corporate Development at ScreamingMedia.Com, the web’s leading digital content network. He is one of the founding members of the ScreamingMedia team. The company now has 300 employees with a network of over 1,100 client sites and 3,000 provider titles.

Prior to Screaming Media, he was Senior Vice President with Mezzina/Brown Advertising in New York. His responsibilities included management of all multimedia projects on the Internet and Mezzina/Brown’s Interactive division.

Before his position with Mezzina/Brown, Mr. Slinger was Senior Vice President with Bates Worldwide Interactive division. He played an active role in developing the Interactive divisions in North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia and had direct responsibility for the largest online accounts within the Agency including the Caribbean Coalition for Tourism, a membership organization of over 120 travel related members including American Express, American Airlines, Visa International and AT&T.

Slinger joined Bates after completing a 6-month sabbatical where he built and sailed a 47’ ketch from Keelung, Taiwan to Long Beach, California.

He spent from 1990 to 1996 as President of Brykant Consulting Corporation in Chicago. The company was retained by publishing and marketing companies in the greater Chicago area. He also held the position of Executive Editor, GAMS Publishing.

Slinger is a board member of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA). A native of Scotland he was educated at Oxford and Lancaster University and graduated in Electrical & Mechanical Engineering.
