History

Eurospider Information Technology AG was founded in 1995 as a spin-off company of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zurich. The company‘s aim was to commercialise the information retrieval system developed at ETH under the direction of Eurospider’s founder and CEO Peter Schäuble, then assistant professor. GARAIO besteht aus drei Geschäftsbereichen:

Das Projektgeschäft macht mit ca. 65% den grössten Umsatzanteil aus. Unsere Entwicklungsabteilung umfasst ausgewiesene Spezialisten aus verschiedenen Disziplinen. Wir beschäftigen Software-Architekten der Technologieplattformen Windows 2000 und COM+, sowie für die bekannten Enterprise Servers (SQL Server, Commerce Server, BizTalk Server, etc.). Unser Mitarbeiterstamm umfasst einige Senior Developers, die sich bereits seit einiger Zeit aktiv auf die nächste Softwaregeneration von Microsoft konzentrieren: die .NET-Plattform. Im Auftrag von Microsoft konnten wir bereits ein Developer Training zu diesem Thema durchführen.
Wir erstellen grundsätzlich jegliche Form von individuellen Softwareprojekten, wobei wir neben der Skalierbarkeit und Robustheit von Data- und Business-Services vor allem grossen Wert auf die adaptive, ergonomische Bedienung legen. Hierbei arbeiten wir eng mit unserer Grafik/Multimedia-Abteilung zusam-men.

Der zweite Bereich befasst sich mit der Herstellung von Halb- und Fertigfabrika-ten für die Softwarebranche. Durch unsere breite Erfahrung haben wir im Laufe der Jahre verschiedene Softwarekomponenten erstellt, mit denen wir schneller individuelle Lösungen erstellen können. Halbfabrikate umfassen einzelne Module, die wir in Projekten zur Problemlösung bestimmter technischer Probleme einset-zen. Darunter fallen Module wie Chat-Client, Reporting-Server, Search-Engine, Formular-Generator und anderes. Zu den Fertigfabrikaten gehören Produkte, die je nach Kundenwunsch mit geringem Anpassungsaufwand installiert und betrie-ben werden können. Darunter fallen gegenwärtig die Produkte „Rooms“ und „Blueline“.
