Beat Schilter, Switzerland

Managing Director Cityline AG

Sessions:

Speaker at Cityline Know-how panel

Abstract:
At the first glance, we sell games (and operate them for our customers). Looking closer, you discover, that they are more than games: They are tools to enter in to a 2 way dialog with the audience. During the last 9 years, we learnt a lot how to structure the dialog. In this presentation we would like to share our experience and to show, how games can be used to meet well defined marketing objectives in a well defined target audience. We use the word gCRM (Game Customer Relations Management) to describe how we use prediction Games and our software to gather information about the target audience and feed it in to a CRM-System

Bio:
Beat Schilter (47) is the Founder, President and CEO of CITYLINE AG, a leading web-based Service company providing high quality interactive prediction games to media companies, advertisers and portals.

Predicting the future never is easy. Try it on the Weather! Developing games around predictions is an interesting tasks. Specially, when the specific marketing objectives of the customer has to be met. We started with prediction games before the Web was around. Players entered their predictions using a touch tone telephone. We accumulated a lot of experience during the last 9 years – and we developed a stable application that allows us, to build new games for new themes quickly.

Whether it be products, sports, politics, people get involved by answering questions. Players like our games because it brings content to a level where it is real for them. Advertisers like our games, because they can focus on their particular target audience and they can easily incorporate and communicate their marketing message. Media companies and portals like our games because they can offer unique applications to their visitors and can build up a solid base of registered users.
